As Five See finishes their personal health plans, it has come to my attention that almost all of us should be doing the same things to protect our health: exercise, eat healthy foods, get a lot of sleep... these are facts we just can't ignore! And when we consider the fact that we are more likely to get certain illnesses because our families have them, we have a responsibility to do whatever we can to protect ourselves starting now.
This personal responsibility starts with making specific, measurable goals that will challenge us to make the right choices. If we don't say how often we will eat fruits and vegetables, it will be hard for us to monitor our progress.
The other important thing to remember about setting goals and being responsible for them, is that sometimes the easiest thing we can do is to inform others of our goals. These people can help us to reach them and remind us of our desires.
